I believe that all people are meant to consume art and thinking, as we are socially born creatures trying to seek meaning. Although we may attempt to exist independently, our relational nature brings us together, encouraging us to step outside of our own comfortable boxes, and find purpose within our communities. I am curious to explore the instinctual parts of being human, and want to honor our inherent interconnectedness as a culture, a society, a species. My work serves to understand personhood on a deeper level, and connect to the identities that have shaped my own life and conscience.
When I explore my own belief system through dance, especially through qualities such as physical touch, I find myself grounded in a free and open body. The exploration of movement has become my identity, with an interdisciplinary focus on many genres, in how they intersect, and fuse together in vulnerable execution. How are we meant to make sense of sharing our own work? I like to chew on questions such as this one, and know that as an evolving artist, time is a gift. I believe, I explore, I ponder; I remain thoughtful.
