Gracie Stevens

Gracie Stevens is a passionate and curious interdisciplinary artist, who is actively involved in both dance and psychology. She is inspired by the instinctual nature of human interconnectedness, and the dynamic patterns found within society and culture. As an upcoming graduate of Skidmore College, Gracie has had the opportunity to be immersed in the fields of both clinical and developmental psychology by pursuing extensive research and internship positions. She has presented at Boston University’s Conference on Language Development in 2023, and is a co–author of an accompanying empirical paper. In the dance department, Gracie is the current co-chair of the Student Dance Committee, which represents her passions for leadership, inclusivity, and community building, and is further supported by her position as a dance teaching assistant. She has had the opportunity to work in choreographic processes with Robert Battle, Larry Keigwin, Fredrick Earl Mosley, and perform alongside ODC/Dance at the University of Albany with choreography by Brenda Way and Dexandro Montalvo. Post graduation, Gracie plans to continue pursuing her endeavors within both dance and psychology, and has goals to fuse these two passions together in an applied setting. Outside of the studio or classroom, you can find Gracie baking or cooking.
